On Monday, September 5, 2022, the Moroccan Minister of Transport and Logistics, Mr. Mohammed Abdeljalil, launched the second session of the regional seminar on “innovation and cybersecurity”, organized by the Arab Civil Aviation Organization, the European Civil Aviation Summit, the African Civil Aviation Commission and the Directorate of Air Transport of the United States.
This seminar organized in Marrakech was attended by more than a hundred officials and experts in aviation safety and security, representing more than 40 African and Arab countries.
”In his opening address, the Minister stressed that the accelerated digital transformation that the aviation sector is experiencing, especially during the period of the Covid-19 pandemic, poses significant challenges related in particular to the safety and security of air transport, which now faces a number of cyber threats.” says an information note from the Moroccan Ministry.
Mr. Mohammed Abdeljalil also urged all participants to focus on cooperation and exchange of experiences, for better protection of the sector against threats and risks.
