The 4th Edition of the China-Africa Economic and Trade Expo Set to Strengthen Bilateral Relations

The 4th edition of the China-Africa Economic and Trade Expo will be held from June 26 to 29 in Changsha, the capital of China’s Hunan province. This event, which has become a key meeting point for strengthening ties between China and Africa, was announced during a press conference organized by the Hunan Department of Commerce.

According to an official from the Department of Commerce, this new edition will be marked by meticulous planning and optimized organization of major activities, special events, and exhibitions aimed at promoting the innovative development of the Expo.

Hunan stands out as one of the most dynamic provinces in terms of economic and trade cooperation with Africa. Between January and November 2024, trade between Hunan and Africa reached 47.3 billion yuan, placing the province at the forefront among central and western Chinese regions for commercial relations with the African continent, according to Changsha Customs.

The China-Africa Economic and Trade Expo is not limited to China: in 2024, successful events were organized in Kenya and Nigeria. These meetings led to the signing of projects worth more than 1.4 billion dollars, demonstrating the intensification of Sino-African economic partnerships.

With this 4th edition, the China-Africa Economic and Trade Expo reaffirms its role as a strategic platform for future cooperation, highlighting investment and mutual development opportunities between China and Africa.
