The Canada-Africa Chamber of Commerce signs a memorandum of understanding with the Canada-Ivory Coast Chamber of Commerce

The Canada-Africa Chamber of Commerce (CACB) (www.CanadaAfrica.ca) is pleased to announce the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MO) with the Canada-Ivory Coast Chamber of Commerce (CCCACI)
The Memorandum of Understanding, signed on August 6, establishes a framework for collaboration, reciprocal events, and joint initiatives, and grants the CCACI all the benefits of CACB membership. It reflects the shared commitment of both organizations—and of Canada—to strengthening economic and trade ties between Canada and the Republic of Côte d’Ivoire. This commitment builds on the Memoranda of Understanding signed during previous ministerial visits, which led to private sector missions to African markets to participate in the Canada-Africa Business Conferences, which attract hundreds of delegates.
The signing coincides with the first visit to Côte d’Ivoire by the Honourable Anita Anand, Canada’s Minister of Foreign Affairs. In their joint statement (https://apo-opa.co/4xJpjtz) of August 6, 2026, Minister Anand and Her Excellency Ms. Nialé Kaba, Minister of State, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Côte d’Ivoire, committed to further encouraging partnerships between the Canadian and Ivorian private sectors, noting that bilateral trade reached a record level of 1.2 billion Canadian dollars in 2025. The Chamber’s Executive Board is precisely advancing this objective and supporting Canada’s trade diversification program and its Africa Strategy through private sector collaboration.
