AGL RDC in support of Women’s Potential: SHARE. INSPIRE. DARE.

On 6 and 9 March, to mark International Women’s Day, the female staff of Africa Global Logistics RDC came together for two days filled with discussion, creativity and sharing. These gatherings provided an opportunity to discuss women’s leadership, celebrate solidarity and highlight the talents that contribute to the organisation’s dynamism every day.

This celebration, fully in line with AGL’s values of humility, entrepreneurial passion, agility and solidarity, featured two key highlights.

A team-building session led by Jean-Michel Biola of Congo Skills Alliance on the theme ‘Unleashing Women’s Potential’ first enabled participants to discuss four key areas: leadership and influence, entrepreneurial passion and agility, innovation and social responsibility, as well as solidarity and the next generation of women leaders. The discussions led to a number of concrete commitments, including fostering a supportive atmosphere within teams, recognising individual and collective achievements, and strengthening mutual support and mentoring initiatives.

“Women’s potential is a collective asset that is fully realised when it is encouraged and shared,” emphasises Suzanne Binti from the HR department at AGL RDC-South.

A collaborative painting workshop led by Congolese artist Abdel Mabyala then enabled the participants to create several murals highlighting women, values and the professions at AGL. This creative activity strengthened bonds, revealed talents and offered a different way of expressing team spirit.

“At Africa Global Logistics, we firmly believe that diversity, inclusion and women’s leadership are true drivers of transformation and innovation,” says Eldon Khuty, Managing Director of AGL RDC.

In a sector as strategic as logistics, Africa Global Logistics RDC is thus reaffirming its commitment to promoting women, in an environment where every female employee can develop her potential, exercise her leadership and contribute fully to the collective performance.
