Euroairlines expands its network in Southern Africa with Fastjet

Antonio López-Lázaro, CEO of Euroairlines: “The partnership will particularly strengthen connectivity between South Africa, Zimbabwe and South Africa ahead of the peak summer season.”

Euroairlines and Fastjet have signed a commercial agreement that expands connectivity between several destinations in Southern and Eastern Africa through the African airline’s network. The agreement makes it possible to market flights operated by Fastjet under its FN code and issue them through Euroairlines’ IATA Q4 ticketing plate, facilitating access to the main Global Distribution Systems (GDS), such as Amadeus, Sabre, Travelport, Abacus, Sirena, Travelsky and KIU, among others, as well as to more than 75 geographical travel agency markets through IATA’s BSP platform.

Antonio López-Lázaro: “Fastjet flights are available through Euroairlines’ international distribution channels, making it easier for travel agencies and passengers to access a broader range of destinations in countries such as Zimbabwe, Zambia and South Africa ahead of the peak summer season.” The partnership is focused on passenger transport and reinforces Euroairlines’
international expansion strategy, with a focus on emerging markets.

Antonio López-Lázaro: “Fastjet is an airline with a solid regional presence, an in-depth knowledge of its market, and a highly professional and experienced team. This collaboration expands our value proposition for agencies and travellers, incorporating new destinations and facilitating more efficient connections in Africa, where we complement its network with those of our other African clients, which are fully complementary.”

The addition of Fastjet represents a significant improvement in regional African connectivity, making it easier to combine journeys and access destinations that until now had less visibility in European markets. This network expansion also comes at a
key moment for the tourism industry, coinciding with the peak summer season, when demand for international travel and alternative destinations increases.

With this partnership, Euroairlines strengthens its global network of agreements with airlines from different continents and consolidates its position as one of the leading specialists in international airline distribution, bringing new travel opportunities to passengers around the world.
