Oran: Opening of the International Exhibition on Railway Industry and Infrastructure

The first edition of the International Exhibition on Railway Industry and Infrastructure, titled “Algeria Rail Expo 2025”, was inaugurated on Wednesday at the Mohamed Benahmed Convention Center (CCO) in Oran, with the participation of 22 national and international exhibitors.

The opening ceremony of this four-day economic event was presided over by the Secretary General of the Ministry of Transport, Djamel-Eddine Abdelghani Dridi. The exhibition is organized by the communication and economic events agency MOCA Com, in partnership with the Oran Convention Center.

This expo offers an opportunity for professionals in the sector to discover the latest innovations and technologies in the railway field and to learn about new solutions for the development of railway infrastructure in Africa.

Held under the patronage of the Minister of Transport, Saïd Sayoud, this first edition brings together all key trades and major players in the sector, including companies specializing in infrastructure construction, equipment manufacturers, electrical cable producers, as well as manufacturers of locomotives, wagons, and signaling systems, according to the event’s Commissioner, Mourad Cheboub.

Dedicated to innovation, technologies, and railway solutions, the event hosts leading national and international market players, along with decision-makers, experts, and top-tier companies in the railway industry.

The goal of the exhibition is to provide an optimal platform for exchange, to promote know-how in the railway industry, to create partnership opportunities, and to facilitate dialogue on the challenges and solutions related to rail transport in Africa.

On this occasion, the organizers have scheduled a series of conferences, focusing in particular on:

  • “The Railway Industry in Algeria: A Vector of Regional Development for Better Logistics”
  • “The Railway Industry and the Energy Transition in Algeria”
  • “Sustainable Development and the Environmental Impact of Railways”
  • “Implementation of Railway Signaling Projects Using Algerian Expertise”.
