DRC-France: Weekly Air Traffic Rights to Rise from 7 to 11 Flights

DRC-France Aviation: Weekly Capacity to Increase
The Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) and France have signed a memorandum of understanding aimed at updating the conditions governing air services between their markets.
The agreement provides a framework for Air Congo to continue operating the Kinshasa-Paris route from spring 2027 under the revised bilateral air services agreement.
The main operational change concerns traffic rights. From April 2027, airlines from each country will be authorized to operate up to 11 flights per week, compared with 7 currently.
This represents four additional weekly frequencies per country, equivalent to a potential increase of around 57% compared with the current ceiling.
Kinshasa-Paris: Impact on Passenger Flows
The Kinshasa-Paris air route is an important connection between the DRC and Europe. It serves business travel, education, family-related travel and other commercial and professional movements.
