ANAC Participates in the Development of a Training Toolkit on Community Regulations for Aircraft Airworthiness

Douala, Cameroon, October 19–23, 2026 – The National Civil Aviation Agency (ANAC), represented by Mr. Armel Aimé KOUAKI BOINDJA, Regional Delegate for the Ogooué-Maritime and Moyen-Ogooué provinces and AIR Inspector (airworthiness and flight operations), together with Mr. Joe Mannix LEKIBI, Aerodromes and Ground Aids (AGA) Inspector, and Mr. Silver OKOUELE, Air Operations (OPS) Inspector, took part in a week-long working session dedicated to developing a training toolkit on community regulations governing aircraft airworthiness.
This initiative, led by the Central African Aviation Safety Oversight Agency (ASSA-AC), is part of broader efforts to strengthen technical expertise and harmonize practices across the community’s member states.
Over the five days of discussions, participants worked on developing a training framework designed to structure and facilitate the transfer of knowledge required to carry out inspection duties in the field of aircraft airworthiness. Discussions focused in particular on analyzing the responsibilities of AIR inspectors and identifying the essential skills and regulatory knowledge needed to perform their duties effectively.
Particular attention was paid to structuring the training programme and organizing the educational content into different modules. This approach aims to ensure a coherent learning progression while incorporating the requirements of the applicable community regulations governing aircraft airworthiness.
Ultimately, the training toolkit will serve as a reference document to train inspectors and help them gain a better understanding of the regulations in force. It is also expected to standardize the way member states conduct their technical oversight and inspection activities, an area in which compliance with regulations remains essential.
