AfCFTA Startup Acceleration Programme 2026: A Flagship Africa-Korea Initiative to Propel 30 High-Potential Startups onto the Global Stage

Under the AfCFTA – Korea Africa Foundation (KAF) partnership, the Secretariat of the African Continental Free Trade Area has launched the AfCFTA Startup Acceleration Programme 2026 — a flagship initiative designed to support 30 high-potential African startups in expanding into global markets, with a special focus on Korea.

This structured acceleration programme combines business readiness support, market access facilitation, and international partnership development to give Africa’s most promising ventures a genuine launchpad onto the world stage.

Programme Objectives

The AfCFTA Startup Acceleration Programme is built around four core ambitions:

  • Enhance the competitiveness and scalability of African startups;
  • Support market entry into Korea and other global markets;
  • Facilitate cross-border business partnerships and investment opportunities;
  • Promote innovation and commercialization across key AfCFTA priority sectors.

Who Can Apply?

The programme targets African startups with innovative and scalable business models, a demonstrated readiness for international expansion, and a clear interest in accessing Korean and global markets.

Eligible sectors span a broad range of the digital and productive economy:

  • Fintech and digital financial services

  • Logistics and smart supply chain
  • Agri-tech and agri-food processing
  • Manufacturing

For African logistics players especially, this initiative offers a rare opportunity to plug into South Korea’s world-class technology and supply chain ecosystem while opening doors to fast-growing Asian markets.

How to Apply?

The application window is open:

📅 Monday, June 1 to Sunday, June 14, 2026

Interested startups must complete and submit the online application form before the deadline.

Why This Programme Matters for African Logistics

In a continent where logistical fragmentation continues to limit trade competitiveness, the AfCFTA Startup Acceleration Programme signals a clear shift: African startups are no longer just local solutions — they are being positioned as global players. The AfCFTA–KAF partnership with South Korea, a global leader in logistics technology and digital infrastructure, opens concrete pathways for knowledge transfer, co-development of scalable solutions, and access to new markets.

For the logistics and supply chain sector, this is more than an acceleration programme. It is an invitation to help shape the future of African trade.

The application deadline is June 14, 2026. Don’t miss it.
