The report presented by the management of the company operating Malabo International Airport on Saturday, May 10, highlights significant progress in the management of resources at one of the country’s most modern infrastructures. In addition to presenting the results achieved during the two years of operating this facility, the company also suggested to the Executive that the next goal should focus on fully leveraging all airport resources in order to increase its profitability.
In this regard, Terminals Holding identified several areas for improvement in both services and accessibility, such as the modernization of freight facilities, the expansion of the passenger terminal, the automation and control of baggage handling, and the development of new commercial zones. Regarding the management of the airport for the year 2024, the company provided data confirming that the set objectives have been met, emphasizing an increase in passenger traffic, a reduction in flight processing times, and, most importantly, customer satisfaction.
Currently, the government has strengthened the airport’s board of directors by bringing in new members known for their international experience in terminal management. This measure aims to consolidate governance in the administration of the airport infrastructure through the recruitment of skilled labor.
