Royal Air Maroc to begin operations at new Terminal One John F. Kennedy International Airport

Royal Air Maroc, the national airline of Morocco, is set to begin operations at the newly developed Terminal One at New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport in 2026. This strategic move underscores the airline’s ongoing commitment to expanding its footprint in the United States and strengthening air links between Africa and the Americas.

The partnership between Royal Air Maroc and The New Terminal One reflects a shared vision of enhancing the travel experience and offering state-of-the-art facilities to passengers. As one of the airline’s major international destinations, New York serves as a vital hub in Royal Air Maroc’s transatlantic network.

New Terminal One
The New Terminal One is part of the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey’s extensive $19 billion redevelopment plan for JFK Airport. This transformation project includes the construction of two new terminals, the upgrade and expansion of two existing ones, improved ground transportation facilities, and a redesigned roadway system aimed at streamlining passenger movement.

Jennifer Aument, CEO of The New Terminal One, expressed enthusiasm about the collaboration: “We are excited to welcome Royal Air Maroc to our terminal. This marks an important milestone in enhancing international connectivity at JFK. Together, we aim to provide travelers with a world-class airport experience.”

Hamid Addou, Chairman and CEO of Royal Air Maroc, highlighted the significance of this development: “Our presence in the new terminal is a key step in our global growth strategy. It not only boosts our position in a major U.S. market but also ensures that our customers benefit from improved services and facilities aligned with our commitment to excellence.”

This move supports Royal Air Maroc’s broader objective of becoming a competitive international carrier, while also improving access and connectivity for travelers between North America and Africa.
