On Friday, March 14, 2025, a press conference was held at La Rossignol to officially launch the first edition of the International Logistics Days 2025 in Burkina Faso. Organized by BORYA LOGISTICS, this event represents much more than just a gathering of professionals: it embodies a collective vision for more efficient, sustainable, and innovative logistics in Burkina Faso and West Africa.
During his speech, Mr. KONATE S. B., General Director of BORYA LOGISTICS and Promoter of the event, emphasized the importance of this initiative for the entire Burkinabè people. He stated:
“The International Logistics Days is not just an event by Borya Logistics, but an event for the entire Burkinabè people. We must all actively mobilize to make it a success.”
According to Konaté Borya, Chairman and CEO of Borya Logistics and Promoter of the event, this first edition in Ouagadougou will highlight emerging technologies, eco-friendly solutions, and innovative strategies that will enhance logistics performance.
During the press conference, Mr. KONE, Chairman of the Organizing Committee, stressed the importance of this event for Burkina Faso and West Africa.
“Logistics is not just about transporting goods. It is a strategic lever for economic growth and regional integration. This event aims to raise awareness among industry players about the challenges and opportunities related to innovation, sustainability, and best practices.”
As a landlocked country, Burkina Faso relies heavily on logistics to connect its markets to major international supply chains. However, several challenges hinder its development, including insufficient infrastructure, high transportation costs, and a lack of technical expertise.
During the conference, gender equity was also highlighted as a key issue.
Mrs. OUEDRAOGO, Gender Equity Officer of the organizing committee, emphasized that this event is not only about innovation and logistics sustainability but also aims to break gender stereotypes in the sector.
We invite all industry players to mobilize and contribute to making this first edition a resounding success. Join us in shaping the future of logistics in Burkina Faso and Africa!
