inDrive Launches in Abidjan: A New Ridesharing Service with Fair Negotiation and Zero Commission

The global mobility platform inDrive is launching a revolutionary ridesharing service in Abidjan, allowing passengers and drivers to enjoy a more equitable and personalized transportation experience. Unlike traditional rideshare platforms, inDrive enables users to directly negotiate fares while maintaining a zero-commission policy for drivers during the first six months.

A Flexible Fare System for Greater Control

With inDrive’s pricing model, passengers can propose a fare for their trip, which nearby drivers receive. Drivers then have the freedom to accept the fare, make a counteroffer, or decline the ride without penalty. This unique system considers factors like vehicle type, estimated arrival time, and driver ratings, allowing both parties to prioritize trips that suit them best.

Zero Commission: A Financial Opportunity for Drivers

To encourage adoption, inDrive offers a zero-commission policy for the first six months in Abidjan, allowing drivers to keep 100% of their earnings, directly boosting their income. After this period, a low commission will be applied, providing drivers with higher earnings compared to other similar platforms.

Safety and Trust at the Heart of the inDrive Experience

inDrive places the utmost importance on user safety. All drivers undergo rigorous background checks, including license and document verification, ensuring that only qualified drivers join the platform. Passengers can also rate their drivers, enhancing a culture of accountability.

The app includes real-time GPS tracking and a feature allowing users to share trip details with loved ones for added peace of mind. An emergency button is available to quickly connect with local authorities if needed, and customer support is accessible 24/7.

A New Approach to Ridesharing in Côte d’Ivoire

With this launch, inDrive is introducing an era in Abidjan where mobility is centered around fairness and flexibility for its users. Ashif Black, inDrive’s Business Development Representative for Africa, commented:

“Côte d’Ivoire is ready for an innovative and more equitable VTC experience. With our unique fare negotiation model, drivers and passengers can set their own prices instead of being restricted by an algorithm. This flexibility, combined with our zero-commission benefit, addresses some of the biggest industry challenges by offering drivers a fairer and more rewarding option.”

inDrive invites the people of Abidjan to experience this new approach to ridesharing, where equity, safety, and user satisfaction are prioritized.
