Gabon Moves to Operationalise Passenger Screening System with U.S. Security Support
Gabon is stepping up efforts to bring its Advance Passenger Information and Passenger Name Record (API-PNR) system fully into operation, with support from U.S. security officials. The initiative aims to strengthen aviation security, improve border controls, and enhance the country’s ability to identify potential threats before international passengers arrive or depart.
On October 16, 2026, Major General Éric Tristan Franck Moussavou, Director-General of Gabon’s National Civil Aviation Agency (ANAC), met with representatives of the U.S. Embassy, including a senior investigator from the Bureau of Diplomatic Security and its regional security director. Discussions focused on technical expertise, staff training, and cooperation to strengthen Gabon’s aviation security capabilities.
