Present in Togo, Benin, Gabon, Cameroon and now the Republic of Congo, the pan-African platform Gozem continues its strategy to structure transport in Africa with the rollout of its V+ program in Brazzaville. With more than one million downloads and over 20 million rides completed since 2018, the group illustrates the rise of logistics expertise platforms contributing to the modernization of Africa’s supply chain and urban mobility.
Gozem Strengthens Its Footprint in Urban Transport in Brazzaville
Specializing in digital mobility solutions and urban services, Gozem officially launched its vehicle financing program, V+ Car, on January 20, 2026, in Brazzaville. This deployment comes just weeks after the effective start of Gozem’s operations in the Republic of Congo on November 5, 2025, confirming the group’s regional ambitions in Central Africa.
Designed as a lever for economic inclusion, the V+ program enables partner drivers—known as Champions—to progressively gain ownership of their vehicle while operating on the platform. This innovative approach addresses sustainability and professionalization challenges in road transport in Africa, particularly in urban centers.
A Financing Model Serving the Urban Supply Chain
As urban mobility management in Africa increasingly relies on integrated digital solutions, the V+ program stands out for its long-term financing mechanism. Vehicles are acquired over a four-year period, allowing drivers to move away from often precarious and costly rental models.
“Our vision is to enable all drivers to move out of renting and become vehicle owners, building their own assets. We are starting here in Congo with this first vehicle to demonstrate our seriousness. The vehicle is financed over four years,” explains Manfreed Tomegah, Group Operations Director at Gozem.
This approach helps strengthen the reliability of mobility services—an essential link in economic development, particularly for the movement of people and goods in urban areas.
Strategic Partnership with MTN Congo and Digital Innovation
The V+ program is being rolled out in partnership with MTN Congo, a key telecommunications player. Under this collaboration, financed vehicles are equipped with Wi-Fi routers, offering passengers onboard Internet connectivity.
This initiative highlights innovation in transport and logistics in Africa, integrating digital use cases at the heart of the mobility experience. It also enhances the attractiveness of urban services and contributes to optimizing African logistics infrastructure at the local level.
Outlook: Tangible Impact on Mobility and Economic Development
With the V+ program in the Republic of Congo, Gozem consolidates its role as a key player in transport in Africa and in Africa’s supply chain applied to urban mobility. The initiative opens up prospects for value creation, sustainable job growth, and better regulation of transport markets in African capitals.
“We are in Congo because we want this program to scale up. We will support all Champions in acquiring new vehicles,” emphasizes Cecilia Kouna, Gozem’s Regional Manager.
Looking ahead to logistics trends in Africa in 2026, this type of hybrid model—combining financing, digitalization, and strategic partnerships—could become a benchmark for developing a more inclusive, resilient, and locally connected African supply chain.
