The public is hereby informed that the Grand Nokoué agri-food platform construction project in the municipality of Abomey-Calavi includes several components, among them the construction of a wholesale agri-food market and the establishment of a logistics platform.
As part of this initiative, a 60-hectare site has been allocated: 35 hectares for the development of the Autonomous Port of Cotonou’s (PAC) logistics platform, and 25 hectares reserved for logistics and transport professionals wishing to build their own warehouses and other storage facilities for agri-food products, under a construction lease with the State.
Private developers and investors (legal entities or individuals) interested in developing warehouse and storage projects are invited to express their interest by submitting a file including, at a minimum:
- A letter of request for a construction lease, addressed to the Chairman of the Land Allocation Commission (logistics platform), specifying the desired surface area;
- A brief note presenting the proposed project, indicating the estimated cost inclusive of all taxes, the source of financing, and the approximate timeframe for completion.
Selected developers will be required to provide a mandatory deposit of fifty thousand (50,000) CFA francs per square meter before signing the construction lease agreement. This deposit will be fully refunded upon completion of the works, provided they are delivered within the deadlines and in compliance with the project specifications. The construction period must not exceed twelve (12) months. During the first five (5) years of the lease, the annual rent will be set at a symbolic franc.
