Casablanca, a Key African Logistics Hub Spotlighted at LOGITERRE 2025

Casablanca is preparing to host the second edition of the International Forum LOGITERRE from October 16 to 18, 2025, a major event that underscores its leadership role in logistics on the African continent. The forum will bring together participants from more than 40 countries to discuss challenges related to mobility, innovation, and South-South cooperation.

The event aims to strengthen the continent’s competitiveness by creating a platform for dialogue and reflection on the development of transport corridors.

A Pan-African Vision for Better Connectivity

Held under the theme “Connectivity: Toward a New Model of South-South Cooperation,” LOGITERRE 2025 is organized by the African Union of Transport and Logistics Organizations (UAOTL) and the Moroccan Association of Intercontinental Road Transport (AMTRI-MAROC). The event is also supported by Morocco’s Ministry of Transport and Logistics, as well as the Ministry of Energy Transition and Sustainable Development.

This forum brings together policymakers, experts, and businesses to define new directions for transport and logistics in Africa, with a focus on innovation, sustainability, and regional collaboration.

Morocco, a Central Player in Africa’s Economic Integration

The choice of Morocco to host LOGITERRE 2025 highlights the country’s commitment to modernizing its infrastructure and developing efficient logistics networks. This role is an asset for intra-African connectivity and the strengthening of trade across the continent, as emphasized by Mustapha Chaoune, President of UAOTL.

One of the event’s highlights will be the presentation of the Royal Initiative for the Development of the Atlantic Façade, a strategic project designed to provide landlocked Sahel countries with access to the Atlantic Ocean, thereby reinforcing Morocco’s position at the heart of global logistics corridors.

Conferences, roundtables, and thematic workshops will allow participants to exchange on key issues such as green logistics, digitalization, intermodality, and the modernization of port and airport infrastructure. According to Adil Bahi, Director of Strategy at the Ministry of Transport, the goal is to “stimulate collective reflection” to find solutions tailored to the needs of each region.

Ahmed Loukili, Chairman of the forum’s scientific committee, noted that the event will enable experts from Africa’s five subregions to develop a concrete roadmap to enhance competitiveness and foster logistics innovation across the continent.

By positioning itself as a major player in the new routes of connectivity and sustainable development, the LOGITERRE 2025 Forum aims to establish Casablanca as a showcase for innovation and South-South cooperation in Africa.

Why Is Logistics Crucial for Africa’s Development?

At a time when infrastructure and mobility are strategic drivers of economic competitiveness, LOGITERRE 2025 represents a decisive gathering to rethink the corridors of the future and promote stronger and more inclusive continental integration.
